Consulting Procedures
When you come to our rooms you will complete a registration form which includes your medical history.
Dr. Greg Taylor will have a consultation interview with you. He discusses the requirements you have with your body issues. Please don’t be embarrassed, or feel you are being vain. (We would all like to change some aspects of our appearance.) This is what our business is based on. We are here to help you make the transition to the look you want to achieve.
Dr. Taylor will explain about the procedure, tell you the plus and minus side of the surgery. Sometimes photos and measurements will be taken on the day of consultation, otherwise photos are taken on the day of the operation. These are for your file — before and after images are important.
For patients having consultations for non cosmetic problems, Dr. Taylor will discuss a treatment plan with you. Some patients are referred by their GP, others may self refer. Dr. Taylor is very experienced at skin cancer and melanoma removal. In the early stages minor skin cancers can be safely removed by laser surgery. This is a quicker method than liquid nitrogen and in most instances, more accurate. However, for more invasive lesions surgery is required and sometimes grafting of the area is necessary. In all cases, samples of the lesion are sent to the laboratory for testing. A copy of the results can be sent to your GP if you choose.
Geraldine (Theatre Nurse) or Anne (Practice Manager) will give you some comprehensive information to take home and read, and also a quote for your surgery. The quote is valid for 6 months from that day. You are able to make a booking for surgery on this day, or phone us later when it suits you.
We offer a very exclusive confidential payment plan, through a specialist medical finance company, Nova Medical Finance (you can download the application form from our site). Neither Dr. Taylor nor any of his staff will be aware of this. Many patients finance their surgery this way.
