Nose Surgery
Rhinoplasty
Nose surgery or rhinoplasty is an operation designed to alter the shape of the nose which may have caused concern because of size or irregularity.
An operation is carried out through small incisions within the nose which makes it possible to alter the nasal hump, reduce the nasal width and refine the tip to produce a nose perhaps more pleasing and in better balance with the face.
Usually a rhinoplasty is a day stay procedure, and a light plaster is worn for a week or so. Pain is not a feature of the operation. Bruising around the eyes may occur and will resolve in a week or so.
It is usually possible to meet a patients expectations of nasal surgery with a reasonable degree of accuracy.
